Behind the Cookies
HELLO!
I’m Kori - AKA Kiki, as dubbed by my nephews about 15 years ago. I also answer to Keeks, Keekster, or Koors Light although college feels like a lifetime ago- Ha! I grew up in smalltown Oklahoma, then lived in Dallas, Texas for 5 years before moving back to Oklahoma in the summer of 2022. In January, 2021 with the birthdays for my little ones (only a month between my toddler & the twins) fast approaching I started planning a joint birthday party for all 3 to make it easier for our out-of-town family to join us.
As you can imagine, 3 in diapers and 2 on formula kept this family on a budget and I decided to try my hand at the gorgeous little cookies that I so loved seeing at events. To my utter surprise, I was GOOD at it. I shared my little trial & error journey on social media and immediately started receiving requests for custom cookies.
Before I knew it, I was only catching about 4 hours of sleep at night from when I finished orders until my littles would wake in the morning. It was time to say goodbye to my part-time nights/weekends gig at a local emergency veterinarian hospital and jump in feet first.
I have always LOVED party planning so receiving party theme information and getting to work with individuals to help make their vision come together has sparked a joyful fire in my belly that I never knew was missing.
Almost forgot the party.
Yep. Custom cookie orders came on quick & heavy and with my business still in its infancy my sleep-depriven self almost forgot to make the birthday cookies for my kids’ birthday party - the very reason I even began the business! Its laughable- I know!
